GIDARA Energy, a leading waste-gasification technology company, is seeking a Sr. Analyst Commercial Finance to join our team. 

Your mission

GIDARA Energy has the decarbonisation ambition to become the global technology provider converting non-recyclable waste into valuable chemical building blocks and advanced biofuels. We will do so by employing our patented High Temperature Winkler® (HTW®) technology, the leading waste-gasification technology with decades of experience at commercial scale. GIDARA Energy offers a range of solutions to clients across the globe, from licensing to syngas islands, to developing its own projects from initial concept to full operation based on our own proprietary technology.  

To help us deliver our growth plans, we are seeking an Sr. Analyst Commercial Finance to join our dynamic international team of passionate professionals. Our new colleague will provide the essential co-ordination skills, technical knowledge, and management ability as listed below. This position has a critical role in analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making and assess business performance. 

What will you be doing?

As our Sr. Analyst Commercial Finance, you will play a crucial role in the Business Strategy Finance Team. In your new role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models with input from engineering and commercial experts to support strategic planning, budgeting, and investment decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate the financial viability of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the business strategy team to develop long-term strategic plans and provide financial projections.
  • Perform due diligence, including financial modelling, risk assessment, and valuation analysis.
  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics to assess business performance and present financial reports to senior leadership.
  • Work in tandem with Estimators and Process Engineering Leads to integrate CAPEX and OPEX into financial models
  • Model optimal project equity and debt financing structures to assess project returns as well as group return outlook for shareholders
  • Mentor junior financial staff, supporting their professional development.
Who are you?

We are seeking a candidate who excels in teamwork and communication, capable of engaging with both project teams and higher management. This role demands leadership, delegation, and independent task execution. The ideal candidate translates complex topics into understandable, manageable actions for the team and takes proactive ethical actions to ensure project success.

Other preferred experiences are:
Hard/technical skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CFA I/II, CPA) is preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, or related fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a high CAPEX project environment.
  • Experience in energy transition business is a plus.
Soft skills and personality traits

Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in financial software and tools (Excel, Business Objects).

Knowledge of ASPEN techno-economic modelling software a plus.

Preferably based in NL or EU
